| Detailed Phenotype Description: |
|
This autosomal recessive mutation (tmgc7), linked to mid Chr7, was detected in the progeny of non-inbred D7R75M males given one dose of 200mg/kg ENU. 73TND has been shown to consume excess amounts of water in a two-bottle choice experiment. The measure of water consumption in this test was greater than 3 SD from the population mean. Both males and females displayed this phenotype. Ethanol consumption, however, was not found deviant in this pedigree and all other behaviors tested in the ethanol screen were found to be normal. This pedigree has also shown underperformance in a tail suspension test and is undergoing further analysis for this behavior.
